American Singer Zhenjiang Theater
I got a call from one of the local newspapers that I work with and they asked me to go shoot an American Singer called Linda Jane at the theater yesterday evening. I had not heard of Linda Jane before and the only information that I could find out about her was that she played piano and that she was fluent in Chinese. So I grabbed my Nikon and my 600 mm lens and off I went to the theater.
The show was everything that was promised. Linda Jane played the piano and sang in Chinese very well. She interacted with the crowd in Chinese and it was a good show. Shooting the show was difficult. Very dark again, shooting between 8000 to 10000 ISO and slow shutter speeds with a 600 mm lens is never easy when you are handholding, but i am slowly getting used to shooting in the local theater now and the security is starting to get to know me, so I am getting a little bit more room to move around the theater. I will keep shooting these theater shows when I get asked in the future. It is fun to shoot outside your comfort zone once in a while.
